Boundaries for Those who Feel with No Bounds

Dear empath friend:

Allow me to teach you something very important you must learn in order to survive. I had to learn it the hard way, and you probably have been learning it, too, but might not realize it.

Personal Power and Responsibility in Social Media

You know, there are times I stare at the screen, finding or thinking something I'd like to share with the people I love, but I just don't have the mental, emotional, nor physical strength and energy to deal with how social media affects people sometimes; including people I love.

Pondering the Music, and the Silence

I've come to know a lot of amazing people on my crazy journey with the PB Project.  Some far, more advanced in their suffering, and some just trying to get by.  And of course, all kinds in-between.

The Broken and The Giving

In the past I have shared things that have touched me, that others have done, and given a little peek into why. This week I'm taking a similar approach, and I'm grateful to have been given permission to do so.

An Apologetic Courage and a Piece of the Madness

Another personal story post for you, related to my ongoing journey with the health-related mess.  I'm aware that some people want only to be engaged with the PB Project's more neutral features, without personal details, and that is perfectly okay with me!  Hence the warning.  If you want to continue, you're very much my guest.

When the Light Goes Out

It's January.  Time to think about something new.  This is not a "new year resolution" but simply something I realized as I was going about, and thought I'd share with you.

From the Pages of My Mind

On the PB Community Facebook Page, we often discuss ways and means of finding the ability to get through and move forward after our more challenging situations we've had to face; since the most basic premise of the PB Project has been to allow people to feel they are not alone in their struggles, I have always felt it to only be fair that I share whatever I feel would help in that effort.  This week, I thought I'd share a little of my inner thought processes; this time, part of it comes not from posts I've shared elsewhere, but actually from working through things in my journal.  Perhaps it can help demonstrate some of what I've meant when discussing that topic.

A Little Social Emotion News, Perhaps?

It just, so happens that this coming week marks an anniversary of sorts, and this one is kind of a big deal for me, so I'm going to share something special and hope that it matters to someone else, too.  I mean the thing I share here, mattering, not the anniversary.  Well, you're welcome to appreciate the anniversary, too.  One does not ride around the sun, on the earth, a significant number of times without learning some of them feel more significant than others, after all.  But that isn't the point of this post, so take it as you like.

A Bittersweet Break for a Day

Hello my friends.  I'm just taking a moment to think out a few things, so I hope you don't mind if I take you with me?  Well, I suppose if you do, you can just stop reading, and no harm done!

A Letter to a Grieving Friend

I had another post ready for this week, but then my feeds became inundated with grieving friends and notifications of great amounts of loss in the world, and so things changed regarding my plans for this week, and you get this, instead.

“We Apologize for the Inconvenience.”

I've been a little lax in writing the past, few weeks, because a friend of mine came into the country for a visit, and so we've been busy.  But there have been a few things I've noticed while exploring my world with them which I've noticed elsewhere at other times, but at times like these they stand out so sharply I just want to squeak!  There are other posts I've made which touch on a similar vein of this topic*, so clearly this is something that I feel needs to be addressed once in a while.

I'm Grateful That's All You Have!

Okay... so I'd not exactly planned to have this blog reflect my personal journey, so much, but it appears that is where my creative powers have gone, and so I can only follow their lead.  My mind is interesting, that way: it seems to want to express what it wants to express, and anything else won't get shared!  So I guess you get to know me a little better!

A Little Try for Gratitude Couldn't Hurt Too Much!

Hello, my friends!  This week I'm going to try to prove myself as not being a hypocrite.  Actually, I say that because I sometimes feel like one, but really, I think I'm just proving that I know it is often easier said than done!

The Difference, in this World of Insanity and Chaos

This past week, I had an interesting question come to me, and I found it to be such a powerful line of thinking, I wanted to share some of my thoughts on it.  Generally, I stay away from most topics of current events, but we'll see where this goes.

Achieving Success the Ordinary, Imperfect Way

These past, few weeks, I've been spending time with my memories, feelings and thoughts about a life remembered; having a few experiences connecting my heart and mind to the imperfections of the present; and attempting to focus my dreams and goals toward an unpredictable future, as the anniversary of my birth looms near!  It's been a rather full month!

And here, we continue onward.  So let's do this, hmm?

A Decade and an Open Box

Here we go again.  This week, another personal topic for me, which I hope not to drop on your foot.  If I do, you'll have my sincerest apologies.  As I've said before, I feel that it is important for others to know that they are not alone in their experiences, even if ours are not the same.  We are all made better through being empathic, together.  And hence, we have the PB Project.
